Recent anecdotes from a young freelancer.

January 9th, 2012 - "Okay, let me get this straight. We just bought flights to New Orleans for the BCS Championship game, WHICH IS IN THREE DAYS, on our own dime, without tickets OR a place to stay, so we can get footage of Alabama fans OUTSIDE of the stadium for our documentary on Tuscaloosa, AL that may or may not happen?!?"

"Yep. Maybe we'll be able to find tickets or, who knows, maybe we'll just sneak into the stadium..."

...and onto the field.

Wendy

I drive a minivan. Her name is Wendy and and she is seafoam green. She is ten years old and has only been in one accident. It wasn't my fault. I wasn't even in the car. She has no seats in the back, "no junk in the trunk." Which makes her more like a covered pickup truck than a minivan. It also makes her great for moving all sorts of things. Equipment, mattresses, drywall, futons, backdrops, two months of camping supplies, small trees, small sprint squads from track teams, and occasionaly superheroes on halloween. She doesn't take well to snow or mud. Or most of Montana for that matter. And she's particularly dislikes sand--naturally I wanted to show her the Pacific Ocean during our cross-country roadtrip.
